“‘I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot!
Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.

And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. If anyone has no love for the Lord, let him be accursed. Our Lord, come!
