what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?
O Lord, what is man that you regard him, or the son of man that you think of him?
What is man, that you make so much of him, and that you set your heart on him,
It has been testified somewhere, “What is man, that you are mindful of him, or the son of man, that you care for him? You made him for a little while lower than the angels; you have crowned him with glory and honor, putting everything in subjection under his feet.” Now in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing outside his control. At present, we do not yet see everything in subjection to him. But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation.
And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”
“But will God indeed dwell with man on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you, how much less this house that I have built!
“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he has visited and redeemed his people
But let your hand be on the man of your right hand, the son of man whom you have made strong for yourself!
how much less man, who is a maggot, and the son of man, who is a worm!”
“I, I am he who comforts you; who are you that you are afraid of man who dies, of the son of man who is made like grass,
Remember me, O Lord, when you show favor to your people; help me when you save them,
The Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did to Sarah as he had promised.
All the nations are as nothing before him, they are accounted by him as less than nothing and emptiness.
and tear you down to the ground, you and your children within you. And they will not leave one stone upon another in you, because you did not know the time of your visitation.”
O men, how long shall my honor be turned into shame? How long will you love vain words and seek after lies? Selah
Then he said to me, “Have you seen this, O son of man? You will see still greater abominations than these.”
And the people believed; and when they heard that the Lord had visited the people of Israel and that he had seen their affliction, they bowed their heads and worshiped.
Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.
