My soul clings to the dust; give me life according to your word!
Consider how I love your precepts! Give me life according to your steadfast love.
You who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again; from the depths of the earth you will bring me up again.
For your name's sake, O Lord, preserve my life! In your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble!
For our soul is bowed down to the dust; our belly clings to the ground.
Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?
Great is your mercy, O Lord; give me life according to your rules.
I will never forget your precepts, for by them you have given me life.
In your steadfast love give me life, that I may keep the testimonies of your mouth.
Behold, I long for your precepts; in your righteousness give me life!
Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways.
Then we shall not turn back from you; give us life, and we will call upon your name!
And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your offspring, so that you will love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.
Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things.
Hear my voice according to your steadfast love; O Lord, according to your justice give me life.
I am severely afflicted; give me life, O Lord, according to your word!
