In the path of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death.
Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good. Whoever does good is from God; whoever does evil has not seen God.
so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself. “But if a wicked person turns away from all his sins that he has committed and keeps all my statutes and does what is just and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. None of the transgressions that he has committed shall be remembered against him; for the righteousness that he has done he shall live. Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked, declares the Lord God, and not rather that he should turn from his way and live? But when a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and does injustice and does the same abominations that the wicked person does, shall he live? None of the righteous deeds that he has done shall be remembered; for the treachery of which he is guilty and the sin he has committed, for them he shall die.
Whoever is steadfast in righteousness will live, but he who pursues evil will die.
For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age,
Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous.
If you know that he is righteous, you may be sure that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him.
walks in my statutes, and keeps my rules by acting faithfully—he is righteous; he shall surely live, declares the Lord God.
The wage of the righteous leads to life, the gain of the wicked to sin.
For whoever finds me finds life and obtains favor from the Lord,
“See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil.
But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
For by me your days will be multiplied, and years will be added to your life.
