Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.
gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.
“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,

But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.

Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, who do his just commands; seek righteousness; seek humility; perhaps you may be hidden on the day of the anger of the Lord.
Who is the man so wise that he can understand this? To whom has the mouth of the Lord spoken, that he may declare it? Why is the land ruined and laid waste like a wilderness, so that no one passes through?
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord. He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide disputes by what his ears hear, but with righteousness he shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall kill the wicked.
For the Lord takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation.
And he said to man, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.’”
Now the man Moses was very meek, more than all people who were on the face of the earth.
but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.
I say this to your shame. Can it be that there is no one among you wise enough to settle a dispute between the brothers,
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches,
A multitude of camels shall cover you, the young camels of Midian and Ephah; all those from Sheba shall come. They shall bring gold and frankincense, and shall bring good news, the praises of the Lord.
Whoever keeps a command will know no evil thing, and the wise heart will know the proper time and the just way.
In your majesty ride out victoriously for the cause of truth and meekness and righteousness; let your right hand teach you awesome deeds!
He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way.

Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
The meek shall obtain fresh joy in the Lord, and the poor among mankind shall exult in the Holy One of Israel.
