Galatians 3:2

Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith?

Romans 10:16-17

But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
