And Joab fell on his face to the ground and paid homage and blessed the king. And Joab said, “Today your servant knows that I have found favor in your sight, my lord the king, in that the king has granted the request of his servant.”
Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
if his body has not blessed me, and if he was not warmed with the fleece of my sheep,
When the ear heard, it called me blessed, and when the eye saw, it approved,
And the people blessed all the men who willingly offered to live in Jerusalem.
Then all the people went over the Jordan, and the king went over. And the king kissed Barzillai and blessed him, and he returned to his own home.
But David vowed again, saying, “Your father knows well that I have found favor in your eyes, and he thinks, ‘Do not let Jonathan know this, lest he be grieved.’ But truly, as the Lord lives and as your soul lives, there is but a step between me and death.”
And Ruth the Moabite said to Naomi, “Let me go to the field and glean among the ears of grain after him in whose sight I shall find favor.” And she said to her, “Go, my daughter.”
For how shall it be known that I have found favor in your sight, I and your people? But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.
