Deacons likewise must be dignified, not double-tongued, not addicted to much wine, not greedy for dishonest gain.

Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good,
(No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments.)
not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.
Therefore, brothers, pick out from among you seven men of good repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we will appoint to this duty. For there is no truth in their mouth; their inmost self is destruction; their throat is an open grave; they flatter with their tongue.
shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly;
